PLEASE NOTE:
The following steering wheel opening operation is not necessary if you order the GT-Phenom PRO with the 5cm spacer, available from the end of November 2024.
How to install the GT-Phenom PRO on your QR
-
1
Unscrew the 4 screws highlighted in the picture with the L-shaped torx key provided with the steering wheel
In doing so, be careful not to ruin the screw socket. -
2
Detach the front plate from the rear enclosure, slowly, paying attention to the cables. Disconnect the 2-pin leads. For easier access you can detach the other one as well.
-
3
Attach your QR to the back of the enclosure using the M5 screws supplied with the wheel, using the 5 holes highlighted in the picture.
-
4
Exterior view.
-
5
Reconnect the leads disconnected earlier.
-
6
Reposition and fix the main plate in place, taking care not to crush the cables.
In addition to the 4 torx screws, you can now also use an M5 screw (in the hole highlighted in yellow) to secure the steering wheel to the QR again. -
5
Connect the steering wheel to the PC via the provided coiled cable.
Always use the original cable.
Note: It is important to supply the steering wheel with the necessary power to operate all LEDs, so it is highly recommended to use a powered USB HUB. -
Notes:
In order to connect the steering wheel to your wheelbase, you must have the corresponding QR, which is in line with the 70mm wheelbase standard. Some examples: in the Fanatec ecosystem you can use the Fanatec universal hub (V1 or V2), the CSL universal hub (V1 or V2) and the podium hub; If you have a Simagic base you need a Simagic QR and so on.
In the case of Logitech or Thrustmaster bases there are no dedicated QRs, but online you can find ones made of aluminium or 3D printed. Acelith does not produce Quick Releases.
Software
-
1 - Connect the Putton Plate to the PC
Connect the steering wheel to your PC through the rear USB cable. We recommend placing a USB HUB 2.0 under or behind the wheel base or a USB extension cable.
Make sure that enough power reaches the device. Cables that are too long may need a powered USB Hub.
-
2 - Install SimHub
SimHub is required to operate the LEDs on the button plate. It is free software, you can download it from here: DOWNLOAD.
If you already have SimHub, update it to the latest version. -
3 - Synchronise SimHub
On the main screen of SimHub click on your favourite simulator and synchronise the data if required. Remember that SimHub must always be active in the background.
-
4 - Import the device template
Download the Simhub Device template of the GT-Phenom (DOWNLOAD). Open it and then click on “Import in Simhub”.
NOTE: if clicking on the file does not automatically open it with simhub, right-click on the file, click on 'open with' and then choose simhub among the apps.
-
5 - Add the device to your list of devices
After restarting SimHub (it is important to restart it) go to DEVICES, click on ADD NEW DEVICE.
-
6 - Add the device to your list of devices
Double click on the image of the device you want to add (Acelith GT-Phenom PRO).
From now on, you will find the GT-Phenom PRO in the list of your SimHub devices.
Note: It happens that despite restarting simhub, the device does not appear in the list. In this case you may have to update simhub by uninstalling the version you have on your PC. -
7 - Device Page
Via the device screen you can manage Leds, LCD, profiles etc.
Simhub is a very powerful open source software. Online you will find many guides for customising your steering wheel.
Tip: the brightness bar adjusts the brightness of all LEDs. If you want only one specific LED or group of LEDs to be less bright, assign a darker colour to it (example: if you select the colour dark red, the LED will be red but less bright). -
8 - Dashboard
From the ‘LCD’ page, you can manage the dashboard.
From the link at the top of the page you can download the vocore screen drivers if you have problems with screen detection.
You can customise the dashboard on simhub, create your own or use an existing one. The one we recommend is 'Lovely Dashboard'.
Since we are not the authors of such a simhub dashboard, here are the links to the developer:- Lovely Dashboard Download link (GitHub): https://lsr.gg/dash

Optional Clutch
-
The clutch lever is automatically read by windows as an analogue signal. However, it is necessary to make a calibration when first used.
To do so, open the ‘Set up USB game controllers’ window by searching for it in the Windows search bar
-
Double-click on the device name.
If it does not appear make sure the wheel is connected. -
- In the ‘Settings’ tab click on ‘Calibrate...’.
- Click on ‘next’ to the ‘Z-axis’ page
- In the Z-axis window, fully depress and release the clutch. Then click on forward and go to the end, ignoring the following pages.
Now the clutch is calibrated. Any other calibrations can be done in game, depending on the game\simulator.
