Magnetic shifter for Logitech steering wheels

The magnetic shifter is a simple system that uses magnets to make paddle feedback more responsive and direct, and therefore more immersive. Here's how to mount it on your Logitech Steering Wheel.

1. The shifter is mounted in the cylindrical part present in Logitech steering wheels behind the paddles. 

2. Before putting the magnets in their seats, mount the two half-circles in that cylindrical part, one on the right and one on the left, with the "wings" (the ones with the magnet seats) facing the paddles.
   To do this, use the 2 screws and 2 nuts provided in the kit.
   Do not overtighten the screws at this stage, as the ring still needs to be adjusted.

3. Insert the 4 magnets into the 4 seats. Do this when the ring is close enough to the paddles. This way the magnets will not fall out and no glue will be needed.

4. Move the ring to the position you prefer. The closer you move it to the paddles, the shorter the shifting travel will be. Make sure that the stroke is long enough for the limit switch to activate (you will hear the click). At this point you can tighten the two screws.

   Please note: to fit the shape of the logitech buttonbox, the shifter faces are slightly angled, so the ring will be slightly bent to form a V. This is not a defect, it is normal this way.

The tutorial video below refers to an older model of our shifters, so the layout will be slightly different.
